During our first mobility in Nice, Italy, as part of the Erasmus+ program, we explored innovative practices and strategies to enhance preschool education. Our primary objective was to identify effective methods and tools to ensure the active engagement of all children in the learning process, promoting inclusivity, creativity, and equal opportunities for every child.

The video also showcases the rich cultural experiences we enjoyed during our mobility, providing a glimpse into Nice's unique traditions, architecture, and local life. These experiences enriched our perspective and further inspired our commitment to fostering diversity and creativity in education.

1st Mobility

The 1st Kindergarten of Corfu carried out its first mobility within the Erasmus+KA122 program titled 'Enhancing the Participation of Kindergarten Children in the Educational Process.' The educational team of our Kindergarten, consisting of the teachers Diamanti Dimitra and Iseri Spyridoula, attended the course 'Instructional Strategies to Address the Diverse Needs of All Students' in the city of Nice.
  
  The goal of the seminar was to familiarize teachers with effective teaching strategies and methods that promote the participation and inclusion of all students. Specifically, through the exchange of ideas and practices, the teachers gained valuable tools to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where every child can actively participate and develop their abilities. Through the program, the kindergarten teachers had the opportunity to study new learning strategies and educational tactics, which they will adapt to their daily practices.
   In addition to the educational experience, the participants had the opportunity to explore the city of Nice, known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning architecture, as well as the neighboring town of Antibes with its historical landmarks.

The combination of acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical tools with the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences and views with colleagues from other countries, as well as the exposure to the cultural heritage of Nice, made this mobility an invaluable and unique experience.

Our Project's Logo: Created with Ideas from Our students!

 

As part of our Erasmus+ project, "Enhancing the Participation of Kindergarten Children in the Educational Process," we wanted the program's logo to truly reflect the spirit of creativity and inclusion.

We began by informing the children about our participation in the Erasmus+ program, explaining what it means for them and how it connects to their learning and experiences. Inspired by the project’s themes, the children enthusiastically shared their ideas through drawings, colors, and symbols they felt represented its goals.

After gathering their wonderful creations, we held a voting session, where the children selected their favorite elements to finalize the design.

This process not only made the logo a true representation of their ideas but also emphasized the importance of participation, collaboration, and shared decision-making – values central to our project.

We are proud to present a logo that celebrates the creativity, voice, and collaboration of our little learners!

Planning the Implementation of the Erasmus Project

Our Erasmus+ project, "Enhancing the Participation of Kindergarten Children in the Educational Process," spans from October 2023 to March 2025 and includes two key mobilities:

• 1st Mobility: April 2024

• 2nd Mobility: February 2025

1. Preparation: Organizing activities and resources that align with the program’s objectives to ensure successful mobilities and implementation.

1. Implementation: Integrating knowledge and strategies acquired during the mobilities into our daily teaching practices to foster inclusive participation and creativity.

1. Dissemination: Sharing the outcomes and innovative practices with colleagues, parents, and the wider community through workshops, leaflets, and collaborative events.

The planning process began with informative sessions hosted by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), which provided valuable guidance on managing and implementing the project. Following these sessions, the teaching staff of our kindergarten engaged in collaborative meetings, fostering open dialogue to align on the project’s goals and create a detailed roadmap for its execution.

Approval of Funding for the Learning Mobility Project for Individuals under Key Action 1 (KA122- SCH)

The 1st Kindergarten of Corfu will participate in the Erasmus+ KA122 program. As part of this program, titled 'Enhancing the Participation of Kindergarten Children in the Educational Process,' teachers from our school will participate in training seminars abroad. Participation in these structured courses will equip our teachers with new educational tools, best practices, and innovative teaching approaches.

Specifically, the main objective, as described in the title of the project, is to enhance the participation of kindergarten children in the educational process. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of new educational tools, best practices, and innovative teaching approaches, all of which will be gained through the participation of our teachers in structured training seminars abroad. These skills will simultaneously contribute to the personal and professional development of the teachers and, ultimately, to the improvement of the entire school unit.

Erasmus+ Approval of the Learning Mobility Project for Individuals under Key Action 1 (KA122- SCH)

We are pleased to announce that following the evaluation conducted by the National Agency for Coordination, the funding application for the 1st Kindergarten of Corfu titled 'Enhancing the Participation of Kindergarten Children in the Educational Process' under the Mobility for Learning Action ΚΑ122, 2023 Call for Proposals, has been approved.
